Bespoke pendant commission for Pomalo and Maddux Creative
Maddux Creative commissioned Fosbery Studio on behalf of their client Pomalo, a new country retreat with a focus on healthy food, healthy mind and building a community spirit surrounded by art in the Kent countryside.
It started from a love of our materials and our Cascade wall light
When Maddux Creative first approached Fosbery Studio, it was because they and their client had fallen in love with our Cascade wall light. They wanted a pendant light using the same materials as the Cascade but with its own personality. With this brief we were able to create sketches and design models of a twin glass pendant with the same turned wooden details mixed with a hand-polished Antique brass metal finish. The final result is a stunning set of lights in a carefully curated and calming space -, just gorgeous.

Bespoke, plastic-free packaging
As with all of our products, our bespoke designs are also made with bespoke card and paper packaging, cut to the precise shape of the lights to create a strong, movement-free packaging that is lightweight and easy to transport. The benefit of this packaging is not just for the environment (as this can all be recycled as paper). It is that unpacking the lights on site is easy; no balls of bubble wrap encased in tape that need to be carefully deconstructed to avoid the lights within being damaged.
Detail review
The material choice and finish was vital to create a bright and warm feature pendant. Aged teak turned wooden parts with Antique brass metal finishes and large ribbed glass globes all combined to create this stunning light.
